PTS & Partners Launch Funded Plant Operations Training Programme

Port Training Services has joined forces with the team at Northumberland Skills from Northumberland County Council, to offer a fully funded plant operations training programme to eligible individuals, which carries excellent employment opportunities.
Funded via the North of Tyne Combined Authority’s Adult Education Budget, this opportunity will provide a comprehensive training package that includes National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) accredited skills such as:
- NPORS Port Safety Passport
- NPORS Industrial Counterbalanced Forklift
- NPORS Mobile Elevated Platform (MEWP) Boom
- NPORS Mobile Elevated Platform (MEWP) Scissor
- NPORS Overhead Crane
Delivered over a 6-week period, this training package has been developed to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to be able to carry out a range of activities related to operating plant equipment. The training will be available during five programmes throughout late 2021 and into 2022.
