NPORS Port Safety Passport

The aim of this course is to provide the theoretical knowledge required for safe operations within the Port industry.

At the end of course delegates will have:

• A basic understanding of the port industry, the dangers of working in a port and their responsibilities in order to work safely when within the port environment
• A basic understanding of Port Industry Legislation, Policies and Procedures, including relevant risk assessments and traffic management systems

And will be able to:

• Work safely with, and identify various cargoes including dangerous cargoes and their classifications
• Work safely near water
• Work safely when alone
• Work safely at height
• Work safely in confined spaces
• Maintain security in ports
• Identify and maintain PPE appropriate for use in the port environment
